can bring you out of this darkness and into the

You don't
have to fit a certain profile to practice affirmations, nor do you need
to have a significant amount of training. All you need to do is
believe. Believe in yourself and believe in the power of affirmations.

"The
day was Remembrance Day 2005. The doctor announced that I was HIV
positive.
Everything
stopped.
I felt myself
sink
into some deep, deep despair. My health declined over the next twelve
months as I fought against this so-called “deficiency
virus.” I battled during those twelve months living in total
fear, guilt, shame, sickness, shock, anger, and sadness. I was fighting
against the disease. I believed if I fought it, I would be okay. I read
books on it. I focused on it. I wrote about it and joined groups
associated with it. Yet, the very acts of fighting the disease and
concentrating on it were wasting my energy and beginning to take their
toll on my life.
So finally, I
let
go.
I decided I
was not
going to live with a negative title—HIV—the human
immunodeficiency virus. I was no longer going to be deficient in
anything. That was my past. So I changed HIV to “Here In
Vitality.” Not even two years down the track since the
initial diagnosis, I have love, a supportive and loving family, and
beautiful friends. And the most important thing—I am living
with good health and much joy! My mind has turned my previous erratic
lifestyle into a heaven on earth! I now face my future with more
optimism than I have ever mustered in all of my life. I have turned a
huge negative into the biggest positive of my life!

So are you
ready to
live a life of positive affirmations? Are you ready to turn your life
around?
Here
are the
steps:
- Begin
Today
Don’t put it off until tomorrow. There is no better time than
now to begin practicing positive affirmations.
- Believe
When you are new to practicing affirmations, your mind will tend to
fight the positivity. This is normal. All you'll need to do
is believe
that you are healthy, successful, happy, and a wonderful
person, and your mind will no longer fight it.
- Present
Tense
The affirmation needs to be in the present tense, not in future or past
tense. For example, instead of saying, “I will be
successful,” state, “I am successful.”
- Repeat
the Affirmation Often
To get used to a habit, practice makes perfect. This is not any
different
when learning affirmations. Repeat the affirmation at least 3 times a
day-morning, noon, and night.
- Stop
the Negative Thoughts
Once that negative thought enters your mind, stop it at once! Do not
give it any room to breathe. Automatically replace those negative
thoughts with a positive affirmation. For example, instead of telling
yourself, “I am fat,” immediately say, “I
am healthy.”
- Feel
Great about Yourself
Well no need to say more! You are feeling great! You are abundant,
wealthy, thankful, and at peace!
