Mimi's Child Abuse Story
| Mimi from the Haiti writes:
Hi my name is Mimi. I would like to share my story with you guys. I was born in Haity when I was 9. I moved to the United States when I left my mom in Haity. I am now living with my dad and step mom every single day. I wake up with my step mother beating me. She doesn't buy me any type of clothes. She gives me food once in a while. She makes me go through hell. She beats me in my breast and my face. When I told my dad he thought that I was lying until one day he hid and saw everything. She isn't abusive to me now and I'm leaving with my friend for a better life. |
Thanks Mimi for sharing your story. You have made a smart choice with deciding to leave and for telling your father. Your bravery will lead you into directions of success and happiness! What you did was stand up for yourself because you knew that you weren't suppose to be treated this way. Good for you! And here's to loving yourself!
With Love,
Brandy Shirley, M.A.
