Healthy Weight Control Tips..
For Times When You Don't Want to Exercise or Eat Healthy!

Below you will find healthy weight control tips intended to help you during times when you don't feel like eating healthy or exercising.

  • Start small.

  • Replace one meal with something much healthier. For instance, instead of having 80% hamburger meat, choose the 90% meat as an alternative. And if you are wanting french fries to go with the meal, bake them instead of frying them.

  • Allow yourself to have treats.

  • Cut down on having 3 treats a day to 2 treats a day. If you love chocolate cake, allow yourself to have a piece. If you deprive yourself of your favorite cake, however, chances are you will eat the whole dang cake when no one is looking!

  • Stretch those muscles.

  • This is such a simple technique that anyone can do it, regardless of one's physical condition. All you have to do is stretch your arms or legs for 5 minutes and you will feel an improvement right away. One of the best forms of stretching is Yoga. According to the founder of Relaxation-with-Home, there are several types of Yoga that are beneficial for stretching and relaxation. Some examples are Karma, Bhakti, Jnana, and Raja Yoga.

  • Exercise a little bit.

  • Yeah, I said a little bit! Even though you don't want to exercise ;), it's a good idea to at least work out a little bit.

Start small and then work your way up to what you can handle. Walk for 10 minutes one day and 20 the next. Or maybe get yourself on the floor and do 5 crunches. Hey, it's better than nothing! And you'll feel better afterwards.

  • Control your negative thinking.

  • What does this have to do with healthy weight control? A lot!

Many times the reason we eat unhealthy or don't exercise is because we already believe that we are "fat," so we tell ourselves "What's the use!"

Negative thinking can make you fat and unhealthy. So, watch your thoughts and be nice to yourself by replacing those negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

  • Don't compare your body to others for healthy weight control.

  • Your body is unique, not like anyone else's. So, stop the comparing because sooner or later you will feel horrible and go after that chocolate cake you have been avoiding (even though it's okay to have a piece)!

Find the best workout and meal plan that fits you and only you! Be happy with your choice and you will feel confident and assured that you are doing the best for you!

  • Allow for potential breakdowns.

  • Hey, it's okay to mess up! That's what loving yourself is all about. It's okay to make mistakes and have fall backs because you are constantly growing and learning about yourself. There is no need to criticize or beat yourself up for not exercising or eating healthy! Just get back into the groove of things when you are ready.

Healthy weight control is possible for anyone! Just follow your body's needs and you will be on your way to living a more healthy lifestyle.
