Are Dysfunctional
Thoughts Consuming Your Life?
Everyone has
experienced thoughts that are hurtful. These thoughts are
referred to as irrational and dysfunctional thoughts, or in simpler
terms... negative thinking.
Anything you've
experienced in life that didn't serve your higher purpose, leaving you
feeling afraid, fearful, rejected, and not important, is a result
of negative thinking.
In this article,
you'll find 5 examples of how dysfunctional thinking can impact your
life and 5 ways to change this way of living.

Impact of Dysfunctional Thoughts...Unhealthy
Self-Concept. Change this into a Healthy Self-Concept!
Negative thinking
is the culprit to feeling bad about yourself. If you're unhappy with
your overall image, pay attention to your negative thoughts
first.
You'll find many
self-help and law of attraction books that will
describe this in more detail. I recommend that you add The
Secret
and Excuses
Begone!: How to Change Lifelong, Self-Defeating Thinking Habits to
your book collection-or start one if you haven't yet. These two books
will get you on your way living life with a healthy self-concept.

Impact of Dysfunctional Thoughts..Unhealthy Relationships. Change this
to Healthy Relationships!
It isn't thought
that the way you think would have such an impact on your relationships.
If you do not
feel worthy about yourself, and you're constantly having a negative
conversation with yourself, chances are you're going to feel negative
about your
closest and professional relationships as well.
For instance, if
you
have told yourself that you are fat and a loser, you are going to
believe that the other person in your relationship is going to feel the
same way as you do about yourself. Whatever the other person says or
how they really feel will not matter because you will not believe
them..actually your negative thoughts may end up pushing
the other person away.
The way to change
this is by replacing negative thoughts with positive,
affirming thoughts.
This is a
personal journey you'll need to take first. After or while you're
beginning to feel better about yourself, you'll start attracting better
relationships and improving the unhealthy ones.

Impact of Dysfunctional Thoughts..Higher Risk of Psychological
Problems. Change this to a Low Risk of Mental Illness
The two most
common psychological illnesses are anxiety and depression. In my
experience, I've found that again, irrational thoughts seem to be the
underlying issue. The problem is, anxious and depressed people are
so wrapped up in a
world of constant fear..a.k.a..negativity that it feels like they will
never get out of this hell.
They begin to
fear themselves, fear other people and fear life in general. The
overall picture these individuals have is that everyone and everything
is out to get them and cause harm.
The good news is,
there are several trained and licensed professionals willing to help
anxious and depressed people change their lives. All it takes is a
commitment and willingness to improve your life.
During your
treatment, you'll develop an awareness of yourself and begin practicing
healthier coping skills to deal with your anxiety and depression.

Impact of Dysfunctional Thoughts..Higher Risk of Physical Problems.
Change this to Being Physically Healthy!
Your health
problems can be a result of several ailments, genetics and environment
being two of the more common reasons. Mental wellness is also a factor
that can be overlooked. By becoming aware of your mind and your way of
living, you can be the one to begin changing your physical health.
