Best friend is avoiding me

So I have known this girl for just a few months, i met her in science class at the beginning of the school year. she's pretty cool and we've gotten to hang out a whole lot and i really love her. the thing is, she never invited me over and shied away when i invited her to my house to hang out...she just wanted to go out and do things, like go to restaurants.

a few weeks ago i meant to send a message on facebook about her to one of my friends, but i ended up sending it on a thread, which she was involved in! it had a mean word in it, and she was pissed. so i called her and we talked things out, and the next week at school we talked and seemed to be getting along just fine. but this week at school she has been avoiding us, we cannot find her at lunch. we found her once right after lunch, when asked where she was she said "just hangin' out!" HELP!
